Ilia
A hybrid kitchen tool that merges knife and spatula into a single body. Ilia follows the hand into every corner of the jar, down to the very last trace.
Down to the last trace
Getting the last of the jam, a sauce or a spread out of a jar is a small gesture. It comes up often, and it can be frustrating. Ilia starts from there: one tool that works as a knife and as a spatula, so the same body cuts, scoops and spreads.
Guided by the hand
The shape follows the hand through the whole motion. A slight curve in the handle makes scooping and spreading easier, and helps reach even the corners of a jar.
-
01
The tip
The narrow edge of the head, thin to collect with precision.
-
02
The centre
The head widens and rounds out: it works as a spatula and spreads evenly.
-
03
The back
Thicker, it gives the object structure and a steadier grip.
-
04
The handle
Slightly curved to reach the corners of the jar, it ends in a drop.
Signed on the back
The name ILIA is engraved on the back of the handle and follows its surface. It is a small mark, and it gives the object its identity.
